Australia outscored the US 3-0 in the second half, but it was too little too late as the #1 ranked Americans had built up a 6-0 halftime lead. Elsie Windes and Kelly Rulon scored just 30 seconds apart to give the US a 2-0 lead early, and Lolo Silver scored on a penalty in the waning seconds of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw three more goals for the Americans. Courtney Mathewson, Annika Dries and Maggie Stefens all scored goals to give the US a 6-0 lead at halftime.

Australia managed just 1 4th quarter goal, including killing off a penalty with just 2:30 left.

Since winning the silver at the 2008 Olympics, the US women have now won every major international title since (2 World Super League Finals, FINA World Championship, FINA World Cup)

Kami Craig was the only American named to the all tournament team
